Membership Information
No prior knowledge or experience is necessary to feel at home at a PBS meeting, as the society is made up of experts and beginners, with all levels of expertise in between.
Meetings range from lectures and slide shows to demonstrations and hands-on workshops of various techniques necessary to successfully grow and enjoy bonsai. The PBS not only uses its own members’ expertise to present programs, but also schedules guest lecturers/demonstrators from other areas of the country to enhance our knowledge. Special events include the PBS Spring Weekend, scheduled in early June, which features a display of members’ trees. Various workshops and demonstrations are scheduled throughout the weekend, and bonsai plants and supplies are available for sale. The Society also hosts an annual family picnic and a holiday party.
Educational opportunities include not only the informative meetings, but also evening classes, weekend workshops, and a lending library available to Society members. For more information simply attend a meeting and see for yourself.
